Shiatsu is japanese. It means finger pressure .
In practice, the giver uses fingers, thumbs, sometimes
elbows and knees, and always concentrated focus and sensitivity, to
ensure that the treatment will accurately meet and enhance the
receiver's life-force |
Usually the recipient lies on a mat or Futon, a
japanese mat, on the floor and wears loose comfortable
clothing. The therapist applies appropriate pressure to
Tsubos, acupressure points, and smoothes the flow of
Ki, energy, in the meridians, charted energy
pathways. |
